Orchard Restoration Project

Welcome! We are a non-profit organization, meaning that we depend on YOU- the community, for our sucess. Please spend some time getting to know what we are about and consider getting involved!

Who are we?

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the fruit orchard in Winona Lake. We hope that the Orchard will benefit the community by providing fresh fruit to food banks in the area. We will provide opportunities for the community to be involved in the work but also receive the  fruit of the harvest.

History

The Orchard is on loan from Grace College to Michael and Tracy Skipper, who founded the Restoration Project in 2010. In the first year, over 100 trees were adopted and over 3000 lbs of apples were harvest, some of this was donated to area food banks.

The Orchard houses different kinds of apples, peaches, pears and blueberries. Honey will also be available for purchase. 

  UPDATED Wednesday, April 25, 2012...Tree adoptions are available for $10 a tree.

You can harvest all of the apple this year. The $10 may also be used as a

credit to general harvest this fall. Details and an adoption form HERE.
